Welcome to SGF Life Meetings
Studies in Grace and Faith began in 2009 and for several years took place in member's homes and then later in rented spaces. After a brief interruption by Covid concerns, one of our members, Mary Saip started having weekly Zoom meetings discussing the love of God. When one of the founders of SGF began to attend those meetings, she realized that the participants had still not found a place of fellowship after the Studies in Grace and Faith meetings had ceased. So, she asked them if they would be interested in a weekly Zoom fellowship of SGF. The participants were enthusiastic about the idea, the other co-founder agreed, and SGF Life was born.
The purpose of SGF Life is to make a space where believers can grow in grace and the knowledge of Jesus. Teachings are designed to encourage and inspire Christians to believe that God is as good as He claims to be and that He will do what He promises to do. We believe that God is for us, not against us, that He loves us unconditionally, that He will never leaves us nor forsake us and that we are holy, blameless, and righteous before God by His grace through faith in Christ alone.
We believe that the "work" of God is to believe in Jesus. Believers live righteously because they have been made righteous and they live holy lives because they have been made holy. We are NOT made righteous or holy by living righteous and holy lives. As we focus on Jesus, we are transformed from glory to glory. He works in us both to will and to do His good pleasure. The Christian life is therefore one of rest. We rest in the finished work of Jesus Christ.
Finding Fellowship
SGF Life is for anyone who wants to fellowship with other believers who believe in the good news of God's amazing grace through Jesus Christ. We invite you to join with us each week to learn and be encouraged, to worship, to take communion, to pray for each other, and fellowship with others. Come ready to receive. As we often say,
"You don't need to join us to join us.
Just come and be blessed."
A typical SGF Life Zoom meeting will include a brief encouraging teaching, communion, worship in song, prayer for each other's needs, and testimonies of God's goodness. You can join us for our weekly Zoom meeting on Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to approximately 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time (California). If you would like to fellowship with other participants, you may do so 30 minutes before or after the service.
