If one has never known freedom
He can scarcely feel the lack of it,
Only a faint distant longing for an unknown.
However, when freedom first comes with the joys that accompany it,
There is no going back
Except to despair forevermore.
“Hold fast therefore to this liberty
And do not be entangled again with the yoke of bondage”
Lest you be estranged from its source and fall from grace.

"Birds of a Feather"

While driving home from ministry in Chico, California, we pulled over to take a look at the migratory birds here. Suddenly, this happened. Even the ranger there was in awe. It was the most beautiful sight I'd ever seen. It felt very much as if the Lord was smiling upon us by allowing us to witness this moment after ministering to His people.
"Behold the Love of God"

While I was writing a chapter entitled "Behold" in Know and Believe, we took a visit to Bodega Head, California. While I was taking it all in one more time before we left, the Lord said to me, "Behold!" So, I looked again, considering the intricacies of life below and the depth and breadth of the Pacific Ocean. Even more vast is God's love for us.

David and I love fall colors. We usually take at least one fall drive each year taking multiple photos along the way. But this day, we were grocery shopping for the SGF meeting that night. The rain had caused many trees to lose their leaves. I looked down and saw this. Just random leaves that God created, so beautifully displayed for anyone looking to see.
